In addition to curating this blog, I’m also a Huffington Post Blogger and have appeared in various other mainstream media, including television appearances on Sky News and France 3, and in the British newspapers The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Daily Mail.

I’m very open to suggestions from people in the travel industry and in the past I’ve taken part in a number of PR campaigns and collaborations to promote destinations, attractions, hotels and more! Here are some examples:

  1. How do you get the money to travel so much? I find it crazy to think about all the places you have visited in so little time. I wish I could do the same!

    • I get asked this question by quite a few people – I should probably write a blog post about it, with tips on how to get free travel! In 2013 for example I was pretty sneaky and managed to not pay for any of my trips abroad (except one long weekend to Milan). It’s a combination of combining work trips abroad with weekends away, travelling with my parents and thankfully this travel blog has given me some great opportunities to travel, such as my trip around North America in October and to France in November! There are definitely ways to travel cheaply, you just need to be quite cunning about them. I’ll try to write up a proper blog post soon!

  2. Hi Virginia, thanks for following my blog. I think you’re following my work blog: ‘A little bird told me’ – which I hardly ever update! My travel blog is travelcandy.net – in case you wanted to follow that!

    • Initially it was the various companies and tourist boards who contacted me first and invited me to visit or collaborate with them. Then as time went on and I had more and more examples of successful campaigns I’ve taken part in, I have started to contact specific companies I’m interested in working with. My advice to you would be to start small and get a good set of previous examples you can show to tourist boards, and see how it goes! Good luck.
