The kind people over at First Great Western have offered me the chance to travel anywhere in the UK, and asked me where I’d most like to go! This is a toughy. There are so many beautiful parts of the country I’ve yet to see, and how can I choose just one? But after a lot of deliberation and consulting friends for their opinion, I’ve settled on Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. As far as I can remember I’ve never been to the Cotswolds and my flatmate lived there for a while, and it always sounded like such a lovely area of the countryside! Another major factor that swayed the decision is the fact that Cheltenham is a regency spa town, much like Bath, which I visited a couple of weekends ago and loved! I’m already envisaging a weekend of massages, spa treatments, afternoon tea, strolling through historic buildings and country walks… I could even time it to see a horse race as well.
