Postcard of the Week: The Mekong River
The Mekong River passes through southern Vietnam and is full of these traditional wooden canoes which carry food, produce and just about anything. Throughout the whole of the Mekong Delta there are even floating markets, where you can visit whichever boatfull of exotic fruit takes your fancy. It’s very simple to reach these floating markets by boat, and many locals over cheap day-long tours that allow you to explore the entire area. For more information see vietnam-beauty.com.
