Postcard of the Week: Pesto Recipe

Pesto alla Genovese, a speciality of Liguria, is eaten on everything, from pizza to ciabatta to all varieties of pasta. Many tourists come to Italy with a food tour of the country in mind, and it’s true that Italy excels in term of its cuisine. Each region is home to some exquisite dishes and all Italians tend to be very knowledgeable about the origins of each speciality.

I picked up this postcard, along with my Limoncello postcard, in the Cinque Terre, which are five tiny seaside villages on the north-west coast of Italy, in Liguria. Also see my previous post on Vernazza, one of the five villages.
