I studied languages at the University of Exeter (Spanish, Italian and Portuguese) and they have been an essential skill throughout many of travels and experiences abroad. Language skills are very attractive to employers and I’m a big advocate of language learning. Here you’ll find post specifically for linguists or language students on great opportunities. But don’t worry if you don’t speak any languages yet! Here’s also my series on the Top 10 languages in the world and advice on how to learn them – choose one and get started! I’ve created a project, called Worldly Minded, specifically to encourage intercultural and languages skills for young people in the UK. Click on the menu option for Worldly Minded to learn more about this project.
