Postcard of the Week: Skiing in Morzine
A week ago I got back to London after a snowy week of skiing in Morzine, in the Portes du Soleil region of the French Alps. Morzine itself is pretty low down and to get higher up we took the Prodains lift up to Avoriaz each day, from there having access to other resorts such as Chatel, Les Crosts, Champery & Morgins, crossing over into Switzerland. Morzine is apparently a mini-Britain and it’s true that most of the people we met were Brits. But the ski range is huge and I had an absolutely fabulous week at the Chalet Chambertin just outside of Morzine – more about that in a blog post to come!
We were in Avoriaz in Late March, the snow was amazing. Love it there.

We also had loads of snow, but quite poor visibility most of the time! And we got very wet after being snowed on all day long! But there was brilliant powder off-piste because of it…
